Player Props

A player prop is a wager on an individual player's performance; total points, rushing yards, strikeouts, etc.; independent of the game outcome.

What is a player prop?

A player prop is a wager on a specific player’s stat line. The most common props are points, rebounds, assists (NBA); passing/rushing/receiving yards (NFL); and strikeouts, hits, total bases (MLB).

Common prop types

  • Over/Under stat line (e.g. Booker O27.5 points).
  • Anytime touchdown scorer (NFL).
  • First touchdown scorer (NFL).
  • Player to record a hit / home run / strikeout (MLB).

Important Arizona rule

College player props are banned in Arizona. Only team markets (spreads, totals, futures) are available for college sports. Pro player props are fully available.

When to use props

  • Star players with predictable usage.
  • Injury impact bets; when a teammate is out, look for usage upside.
  • Same-game parlays; combine props with team markets.
