How the parlay calculator works

A parlay combines two or more individual wagers into a single bet. Every leg must win for the parlay to cash. The combined odds are the product of each leg's decimal odds; so payouts grow exponentially, but so does the risk.

The math behind it

  1. Convert each American odds to decimal odds. Positive odds: (odds / 100) + 1. Negative odds: (100 / |odds|) + 1.
  2. Multiply all decimal odds together to get the combined decimal.
  3. Multiply combined decimal by stake to get total payout. Subtract stake to get profit.

Example

Three legs at -110, +150, -200 on a $100 stake:

  • -110 → decimal 1.909
  • +150 → decimal 2.50
  • -200 → decimal 1.50
  • Combined: 1.909 × 2.50 × 1.50 = 7.16
  • Payout on $100: $716 (profit $616)

Should you bet parlays?

Parlays are popular because of the big payouts, but the house edge compounds with each leg. For long-term value, single bets are mathematically better. Parlays are best for recreational play, correlated picks (same game parlays), or when you're chasing a specific dollar payout.
