Same Game Parlay
A Same Game Parlay (SGP) combines multiple bets from the same game into one parlay. Picks can be correlated; same team to win and score over a total; within the same matchup.
What is a Same Game Parlay?
A Same Game Parlay (SGP) is a parlay built entirely from one game’s markets; spread, total, player props, and game props.
Why it exists
Traditional parlays don’t allow correlated legs from the same game (e.g. team to win + their QB to throw for over 300 yards). SGPs are a special parlay product where the sportsbook prices correlated outcomes; adjusting odds to account for the correlation.
Common SGP build
- Game line; spread or total.
- Star player prop; passing/rushing yards, points, rebounds.
- Anytime TD scorer or first basket scorer.
- Game prop; first team to score, longest reception.
Trade-off
The convenience and correlation come at a cost; SGP odds are typically less favorable than the equivalent independent parlay. Sportsbooks build in a higher margin.
SGP+ (across games)
Some books offer SGP+ which lets you combine an SGP with bets from other games for an even longer parlay.
Best AZ books for SGP
FanDuel pioneered the Same Game Parlay product and still has the deepest selection. DraftKings is a close second. BetMGM is competitive.
